Wake links¶
A wake link makes one rotor feel another rotor's downwash. No link, no interaction.
| Field | What it is | Typical |
|---|---|---|
| Source Rotor Id → Target Rotor Id | Whose wake blows into whose | main → tail |
| Gain | How strong it is | 1 |
| Sample Mode | 0 = sample the centre and edges, 1 = average over 13 points across the disc | The Huey uses 1 |
| Refresh Hz | How often the wake gets re-sampled. 0 = every step. | 10 (Huey) is cheaper and still smooth |
| Filter Source Revs, Filter Tau Min/Max S | Smoothing | Huey: 2 / 0.25 / 0.75 |
Downwash on the fuselage, fin and stabiliser is set on the topology itself, with Airframe Wake Refresh Hz and the Airframe Wake Filter fields. The Huey uses 15 Hz with the same smoothing as its tail link.
